FINE ART:
Raised in an artist household in Texas, she was introduced to art through her stepfather, a found-object sculptor and former merchandising director for Barneys New York in Dallas, whose work often explored religious tension. Often present in his studio and on-site installations, she assisted in constructing sculptural displays, learning to see objects not only for what they were but for what they could become.
Her upbringing, paired with her experience growing up in an untraditional family as a product of IVF, positioned her at the intersection of conflicting belief systems, where science and religion coexist in both opposition and dialogue. This duality continues to inform her work, alongside an enduring interest in scientific thought and experimentation. For Danni, art functions as an ongoing process of trial and error, an evolving study rather than a fixed outcome.
Working primarily in mixed media, she layers continuous-line drawing, portraiture, collage, and text to create dense, tactile compositions. Guided by the belief that a work is not complete until it feels visually saturated, her pieces embrace texture and “happy accidents” born from repurposed materials. Her visual language exists between control and disorder, where fragmentation becomes a method of clarity and subtlety carries weight, grounded in the idea that the most powerful elements are often the quietest.
Her work has been exhibited across West and Northern Texas, including features at the Charles Adams Studio Project’s CASPFest and Theresa Barrett’s Fine Art Photography. In parallel with her studio practice, Danni has remained actively engaged in the arts community through roles as a Gallery Assistant at the Charles Adams Gallery, Art Administrator and Print Assistant at the Charles Adams Studio Project, and Promotions Lead for CASPFest. She has also worked as an Assistant Art Teacher at Studio Arts Dallas and has been invited to speak as a guest at Texas Tech University.
